Alina Stancu Named CMS Fellow – Class of 2026
The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) has named Alina Stancu, professor at Concordia University and highly active member of the CRM, as a CMS Fellow for 2026.
This prestigious distinction recognizes outstanding contributions to mathematical research and sustained service to Canada’s mathematical community.
Within the CRM, Alina Stancu serves as Director of the Mathematical Analysis Laboratory, is a member of the Outreach Committee, and organizes several major activities, including the CSMQ, the Nirenberg Lectures, and initiatives for the International Day of Women in Mathematics.
The CRM warmly congratulates Alina Stancu on this well-deserved honor.
