CRM-uOttawa Postdoctoral Fellowships

The CRM-uOttawa Postdoctoral Fellowship is offered in collaboration with the University of Ottawa, one of the CRM’s partner institutions. This program offers exceptional postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in a dynamic academic environment renowned for its excellence in mathematics and statistics. Fellows are encouraged to actively participate in the scientific life of their host research group while benefiting from the extensive network of researchers, activities, and programs offered by the Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM).

The CRM-uOttawa Postdoctoral Fellowship is awarded to a promising researcher who has recently earned, or is about to earn, a Ph.D. in mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field. This fellowship is intended to support a postdoctoral researcher working under the supervision of a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Ottawa.

The initial contract is for one year and is often renewable for a second year, subject to satisfactory results and the availability of funds.

Fellows must be based in Ottawa for the duration of their contract and participate fully in the department’s research activities.

Program Benefits

• A one-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Ottawa, with the possibility of renewal for a second year
• A minimum annual stipend of $54,500
• An annual research support allowance of $1,000 that can be used for professional activities such as travel to attend conferences, the purchase of research-related equipment, or other eligible research expenses
• Opportunities to collaborate with researchers at the University of Ottawa and within the CRM’s extensive scientific network
• Teaching opportunities within the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Fellows are generally required to teach two courses per year, in English or French
