Luc Vinet receives the 2022 Urgel Archambault Prize
Congratulations to Luc Vinet, Chief Executive Officer of IVADO and former Director of the CRM, who is the 2022 recipient of the Urgel Archambault Award. This distinction is given annually by Acfas, the principal French-language learned society in Canada, in recognition of a researcher’s work in physics, mathematics, computer science or engineering. The award, which is sponsored by the Quebec Department of Economy, Innovation and Energy, has only been awarded a few times to a mathematical scientist since its creation in 1953. Luc received his prize at the 78th Gala of Acfas, on November 24. For more information about the award and Luc’s accomplishments, refer to the Acfas press release (in French).
More details can also be found in English on the subsequent IVADO press release.
