Launch of the 2026-2027 Stratégia Doctoral Scholarship Competition

GERAD is launching its 2026–2027 doctoral fellowship competition as part of the Stratégia – Modeling Emerging Challenges project, an FRQ initiative jointly led by the CRM, GERAD, and the UNIQUE Network.

These fellowships aim to support the next generation of researchers in the field of modeling applied to climate change and its impacts. Proposed projects may focus, in particular, on abrupt climate change phenomena as well as the influence of human activities on these phenomena.

As part of this competition, four thematic scholarships worth $12,500 each will be awarded to doctoral students supervised by members of GERAD, CRM, or the UNIQUE Network.

The three organizations also reaffirm their commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion by recognizing the essential contributions of women, Indigenous peoples, members of visible or ethnic minorities, and people with disabilities, and by ensuring equal opportunities for all qualified applicants.

Interested students must complete the online application form and submit their curriculum vitae along with their most recent academic transcripts no later than November 1, 2026.
