International Research Laboratory (CNRS)

On October 4, 2011, the Université de Montréal and the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) signed the convention creating the Unité Mixte Internationale (UMI) (now International Research Laboratory, IRL) at the Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM).

This IRL, initially established for 4 years and extended in 2015 and 2021 for 5-year periods, has the mandate of giving an institutional framework to the constructive France-Québec cooperation in mathematics, and to increase collaborations between French and Québécois mathematicians. For more information please consult the IRL-CRM website: http://www.crm.umontreal.ca/UMI.
