This five-day program will bring together a diverse group of undergraduate students who identify as women or other underrepresented gender identities and who are studying mathematics at a Canadian university.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"763\" data-end=\"873\">This initiative is made possible with the financial support of the <em data-start=\"830\" data-end=\"866\">Centre de recherches math\u00e9matiques<\/em> (CRM), the AARMS, the Fields, the PIMS, the BIRS, the TIMC, and the UBCO.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"875\" data-end=\"878\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"880\" data-end=\"896\"><strong data-start=\"884\" data-end=\"896\">Overview<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"898\" data-end=\"1424\">This will be an inspiring week of learning new mathematics from influential women and gender-diverse mathematicians while collaborating with peers from across the country. Participants will connect professionally and socially, build strong academic networks, and engage with the instructors. The program includes a challenging academic component, professional development sessions, and panel discussions focused on navigating challenges faced by women and other underrepresented gender identities in the mathematical sciences.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1426\" data-end=\"1429\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"1431\" data-end=\"1446\"><strong data-start=\"1435\" data-end=\"1446\">Details<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1448\" data-end=\"1637\">\n<li data-start=\"1448\" data-end=\"1520\">\n<p data-start=\"1450\" data-end=\"1520\"><strong data-start=\"1450\" data-end=\"1463\">Location:<\/strong> University of British Columbia \u2014 Okanagan, Kelowna, BC<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1521\" data-end=\"1551\">\n<p data-start=\"1523\" data-end=\"1551\"><strong data-start=\"1523\" data-end=\"1533\">Dates:<\/strong> May 17\u201322, 2026<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1552\" data-end=\"1637\">\n<p data-start=\"1554\" data-end=\"1637\"><strong data-start=\"1554\" data-end=\"1565\">Topics:<\/strong> Combinatorics and Graph Theory, with an emphasis on algebraic methods<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"1639\" data-end=\"1642\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"1644\" data-end=\"1663\"><strong data-start=\"1648\" data-end=\"1663\">Eligibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This workshop is open to undergraduates in a math or related science program at a Canadian university who have completed at least two years of CEGEP and one year of university education, or two years of university education, at the time of application and who identify as a woman or as another underrepresented gender identity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"zfr3Q CDt4Ke \" dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"C9DxTc \">Students must apply to participate in this workshop, we have space for approximately 35 students. Consideration will be given to students from multiple equity-seeking groups or with limited access to such programs. A reference letter (no more than one page) from a professor or instructor is required.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2216\" data-end=\"2219\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"2221\" data-end=\"2240\"><strong data-start=\"2225\" data-end=\"2240\">Application<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2242\" data-end=\"2515\">Applicants must complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdOY2vFdBTUj38A_-a6DkkRvlfcSahlH1x764aaOQ1yzUqe0g\/viewform\"><strong data-start=\"2271\" data-end=\"2291\">application form<\/strong><\/a> and arrange for <strong data-start=\"2308\" data-end=\"2335\">one letter of reference<\/strong> from a professor or instructor to be submitted via the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdaJU083VarrMHXqcC2eFyKBpw_tR6jKY7BruFQxJpNhPiLZg\/viewform\"><strong data-start=\"2391\" data-end=\"2409\">reference form<\/strong><\/a>.<br data-start=\"2410\" data-end=\"2413\" \/>Transcripts are also required; they will be used solely to assess the applicant\u2019s academic background.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2517\" data-end=\"2554\"><strong data-start=\"2517\" data-end=\"2554\">Application deadline: December 15<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2556\" data-end=\"2559\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"2561\" data-end=\"2576\"><strong data-start=\"2565\" data-end=\"2576\">Funding<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2578\" data-end=\"2763\">Accommodation and meals will be provided to all participants.<br data-start=\"2639\" data-end=\"2642\" \/>Travel support is available; however, students are encouraged to seek matching funding when possible.
