Joint CRM-ISM Initiative to Support Researchers at Risk<\/h1>\n<\/div>

The Centre de recherches math\u00e9matiques (CRM) and the Institut des Sciences Math\u00e9matiques (ISM) have established a support program for mathematicians, statisticians, and related researchers experiencing hardship due to conflict, oppression, or persecution.<\/p>\n

Program Goals<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • To provide a temporary refuge for researchers in mathematics and statistics<\/li>\n
  • To enable the continuation of their advanced research and training<\/li>\n
  • To offer a secure and supportive research environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Eligible Candidates<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Researchers at all career stages, from graduate students to senior scientists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Available Forms of Financial Support<\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Scholarships at ISM partner institutions<\/li>\n
      • Travel grants to support participation in CRM activities<\/li>\n
      • Funding for research stays and collaborations at the CRM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Application Requirements<\/h3>\n

        To be considered for support, applicants must submit the following documents:<\/p>\n

        • A cover letter describing the specific circumstances motivating the request<\/li>\n
        • A project proposal (2\u20133 pages), including:\n
            \n
          • Scientific objectives<\/li>\n
          • Potential collaborators at the CRM<\/li>\n
          • The amount of financial support requested<\/li>\n
          • Other sources of funding (if applicable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
          • A complete curriculum vitae, including an up-to-date list of publications<\/li>\n
          • A letter of support from a regular member of the CRM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>
