CRM-Simons Postdoctoral Fellowships

As part of its partnership with the Centre de recherches mathématiques (CRM) and in response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Simons Foundation has created the Simons Bridge for Postdoctoral Fellowships to provide additional funding to institutes to support one-year postdoctoral positions in the mathematical sciences. The CRM has been allocated three fellowship positions to start in September 2021 and three to start in September 2022.

The CRM-Simons Postdoctoral Fellowships are twelve-month appointments and are awarded to exceptional young researchers who have recently obtained or expect to obtain a PhD in the mathematical sciences. The fellowship offers an annual stipend of $70,000 CAD for one year. This is a research fellowship allowing the recipient to devote most of his or her time to research under the supervision of a professor from one of the CRM member universities.

The recipients are chosen by the CRM’s International Scientific Advisory Committee.

The CRM is proud to subscribe to the Université de Montréal’s policy on adapting to cultural diversity and is committed to taking into account the diversity and the systemic and individual barriers to access (for example, related to ethnic origin, gender, disability) when selecting visiting researchers.

All fellowships for 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 have been awarded.
